Date of the annual FCIAC cross country championships in Waveny Park. This Thursday date is updated from the original scheduled Wednesday start, as the meet was pushed back a day due to wet course conditions at Waveny. The postponement will give the course and extra day to dry out if there are no further storms between now and the meet. The day will include boys and girls freshman, junior varsity and varsity races and features many of the top runners in the state. The meet begins with freshman races at 2:15 p.m., with the main events to follow: Boys varsity 5K at 2:50, and girls varsity 4K at 3:20. Times are approximate.

She set that mark, as well as the UVA’s platform diving record of 297.85, during her junior season. Towbin is also second all-time on the Cavaliers’ 1-meter board with a score of 307.58. Virginia opened the 2018-19 season with a 178-112 win over Penn State on Saturday, with Towbin finishing second at 3 meters (281.48) and third at 1 meter (238.43).
